Accommodation

Participants must make their own arrangements for all accommodation.

There are many, many hotels in and near the Bloomsbury area of London near to SOAS – central London caters for travellers of all kinds, but there are few bargains.  We recommend the Tavistock Hotel, where a block of rooms has been reserved.

The following is a list of suggestions, but please note:

>>   Some prices may be negotiable if multiple bookings are made in advance, and many hotels will offer cut-prices if you can quote a cheaper hotel

Review: It’s conveniently close to SOAS and many other hotspots while offering good value for money. The single rooms are small, but with en-suite showers/toilets. Breakfast continental and English from buffet. Staff are helpful though sometimes the night shifts have difficulties to speak English properly. The Camden area is somewhat notorious; during daytime drug addicts have a visible presence in the park at Argyle Sq. People may feel uneasy or unsafe because of this.
