IT training is essential for keeping up-to-date with communication and information technologies to help you get the most benefit for your work or studies. Different people learn best in different ways, so a variety of approaches are available: on-line courses, day courses or 1 to 2 hour courses. IT courses for students

Introductory and intermediate level courses are arranged in the autumn term. These normally last 1 to 2 hours. A programme and enrolement details will be posted here in September each year.

One-off courses can be arranged for small groups of staff or students - contact helpdesk@soas.ac.uk. (There may be a charge for these courses).

• Managing references and citations using EndNote [bibliographic software)

Multi media and Dreamweaver courses are arranged by the Learning & Teaching Unit.

External courses

Where it is impractical or uneconomic to send users on in-house courses, it may be possible to use another supplier in the area. Please contact the SOAS Staff Development office or check the Staff Development Web site for details.

Booking

• Staff and students wishing to attend a SOAS course can book via the computing Support Desk.

• For specialist IT courses and future dates email your request to Michelle Delgado .

• Staff wishing to attend an external course should first discuss it with their line manager then apply using the Staff Development Form. If you need to book travel or accommodation through the School, use http://mercury.soas.ac.uk/travelbooking
