Monday 15th June at 4.30pm on SOAS Steps
At 6.30am on Friday the 12th June,
ISS (the outsourced cleaning company hired by SOAS) called a staff
meeting for all SOAS cleaners. Within minutes the meeting was raided by
approximately 40 immigration police, who detained all cleaners and
arrested 9 people accused of working without proper
documentation. One has been released and the remaining 8
were put on the fast-track to deportation from the UK. They
